The app

Pagina does not collect any data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no trackers of any kind.

Every book in Discover is included in the app, so adding one needs no internet connection. The only network traffic the app makes is fetching book covers from Project Gutenberg: for the four included books after the first launch, and for a Discover book when you add it. Nothing is sent to Pagina or any third party in the process.

Books you import are stored on your device (and, if you use iCloud device backups, in your own backup). Pagina has no access to them.

Your reading position, statistics and streak stay on your device too. If you are signed in to iCloud, they also sync to your other devices through your personal iCloud (Apple's key-value storage), so you can pick up a book where you left it. That data lives in your own Apple account: Pagina has no servers and can never see any of it. Without iCloud, everything simply stays local.
